I feel awfully slack for not posting here more regularly but there truly isn't much to 'report' on as far as my psoriasis is concerned.I am still having regular reviews with my dermatologist. About once a month. Dr R. keeps making the tar solution stronger. He seems to think that stronger means that it will get rid of it faster. I don't think its working, at least not how he wants it to be. I get new spots all the time. Although I shouldn't complain. I should be grateful that my skin looks like it does right now. Compared to 12 months ago I look great!
My GP is still impressed with how good my skin looks, at least my arms at any rate its about the only body part he sees on a regular basis when I get my blood pressure checked. It was good when he checked it last.
I just have to remind myself that I could be worse. Just learn to be grateful that you look as good as you do right now.

I have mild psoriasis, so I couldn't begin to imagine living with severe psoriasis. I take my hat off to you and your visitors.
My psoriasis flare-ups appear as red patches around my cheeks and nose, particularly during exertion and sweating.
I did a bit of research online and found references to all kinds of ointments, UV treatments, immune suppressants,etc.. All seemed a little extreme for my situation.
I ran across an e-book titled "Psoriasis Free For Life". At $29 I thought what the heck...
I feel like a shmo hawking someone's online book ( feels like selling snake oil) but I did find some of her tips and ointments useful. The calendula-olive oil rub, and hydrating "mousse" worked for me. It kept my facial flare-ups at bay most of the time.
I found a video review of it which gives a little more inside info about the e-book. You might be able to glean some info from the video without actually buying the book.

Hope this helps.
Thanks for the link Jeff. I'll check it out. I'm not sure if I will buy it myself but if it helps someone else...
For me I'll stick with what's working for now and for me that means the tar potions from the dermatologist.
I'm glad you found something that works for you.
Jo-anne,
You're so right about appreciating what you have right now. I hope the new solutions help.
Thank you Tracy. It has been slow going but the lotion is working :)
Hi Jo-anne,
Thanks for the visit. Good luck with the new solutions. We'll be keeping our fingers crossed for you. Wishing you all the best in 201.
Thanks Life, Laughter and Paris. Its working slowly but at least its doing its job.
Hi Jo-anne
i suffer from eczema and know the battery acid feeling well.
i found this link and although i don't think i could go to these lengths, i tried flaxseed oil for swelling caused by BP tablets and found it worked from day 1. It is meant to be good for psoriasis too.

Just some things to think about. It sounds like everyone has different underlying reasons for their psoriasis, hopefully you can find out what yours is and treat it. wish you all the best, Jane
Hi Jane, thanks for all the info. I'll check it out. Quinoa is really good for you. Love Gi and all that. I hope that your eczema is doing better.
New to your blog, good to hear that you're improving. Stay strong!
Best,

I hope you have tried flax seed oil. It really helps and doesn't have a taste. I take it in the capsule form daily. Doylene
Doylene, I've never tried flax seed oil. I might look into it & find out if it is compatible with other medications first :)
Oh dear I hope you get well and God bless you!
I will have to research more about what you're dealing with.
Take care of yourself!
Thank you Kelly-ann. My skin is a lot better these days :)
